Year 4 Chester Trip
Lesson: History
Year 4 had a wonderful day in Chester. They marched around the city chanting in Latin, equipped with a shield and a sword. In Chester’s Roman gardens, the children learned some Roman battle formations such as testudo. We explored the remains of the amphitheatre, which was built nearly 2000 years ago. In the museum, the children learned all about what life was like in Chester during the Roman occupation. The children’s enthusiasm was amazing! I was a very proud teacher!
