Year 2 Tudor Houses
Lesson: History
Year 2 have completed their homework project to make a Tudor house, linked with our learning all about The Great Fire of London. Miss Stojic and Mrs Bamford were blown away with the incredible houses that the children created, and were thoroughly impressed by the effort, time and creativity that all the children and their families spent creating the houses. We were able to use the houses in our history lesson to build London in 1666. We then re-enacted the fire, and ‘watched’ how the fire spread through the city. After this, we used the houses to rebuild London, considering carefully how we could stop a great fire happening again. It was a great lesson and the children loved it! Here is a snapshot of our houses and our lesson.
