Year 2 Forest School

Lesson: Learning Outside the Classroom

Last week, Year 2 had their first of three Forest School sessions with Mrs Bland. They started off on a high, toasting marshmallows on the fire! The children started off with a litter pick to ensure the forest school site was clear, tidy and safe. They enjoyed a game of manhunt and then had some free time to explore while Mrs Bland lit the fire. Activities of choice included bird spotting, minibeast spotting, and climbing trees! Over the next two sessions, Year 2 will be working collaboratively to build shelters.
