Ancient Greece Workshop - Year 4

Lesson: History

Year 4 have been very fortunate because they spent a whole day learning about Ancient Greece. Their favourite part was re-enacting a battle, they learned how to protect themselves with a shield and how to strike with a spear. They were practising writing on papyrus using ink, so they could become a Greek scribe, they used the Greek alphabet to help with sounds. They learned how to play Greek games, they listened to stories and they learned about the Greek gods and goddesses. We had a lovely day. Our visitor from Ancient Greece, was very impressed with the children’s listening, learning and behaviour.
