Fiona demonstrated her love of map-making whilst playing in the outdoor area. She drew features linked to our story of the week, ‘Goldilocks’. We will be following Fiona’s map to find the three bears cottage!
The children in Reception are trying really hard to blend sounds and read words. In our writing area we have created “Rainbow writing boxes”. The children helped to set up the area by making their own sign. The children love visiting the activity to have a go at new letters and words! What an exciting way to read and write new letters and words.
In Reception we use ‘Fred frog’ to help us read and spell words.
Anna has loved learning with Fred. She drew him his own special picture. We love it and so does Fred!
Well done to Riley this week for telling o’clock times and ensuring Mrs Arnold wasn’t late! Thank you!
Sophia is Reception’s showstopper this week! Not only did she produce a wonderful story map but she used it to tell a fabulous story with excellent expression! Well done Sophia!
This week’s showstopper goes to Louise for painting an animal she might see on our farm trip next week. She concentrated and added finer details to enhance her work. Well done Louise!
This week’s show stopper goes to all of Reception for presenting their class assembly so well to such a big audience. A particular well done goes to Ella-Mai for her beautiful singing voice in our ‘Porridge song’.
Chloe independently retold the Little Red Hen! Amazing writing Chloe, well done!
This week in Reception an amazing magical maths box arrived in the classroom. The children have been posting their own examples of addition calculations inside it. Amna wrote her own calculations independently and loved posting her work. Fantastic maths Amna!
