This week’s Showstopper in Year 2 is Daisy. Her signing and signing at our Music Festival was outstanding- she signed every single word to every single song! She even learnt her speaking part off by heart. We are so proud of you Daisy. Well done!

#ScienceSelfie – and the winners are…

We had a great end to our Science Week, in assembly yesterday. Each class shared some of the work they had done and we finally found out who had won our #ScienceSelfie competition. Well done to all our winners and let’s hope they enjoy their Science prizes and thank you to the PTA for providing the money to buy them. Have a look at the Staff Selfies and the Winning Selfies are in the documents below.

Nursery & Reception Trip to Stockley Farm!

On Wednesday 15th March, Nursery and Reception went on a trip to Stockley Farm Park in Northwich. We had a fascinating day, meeting and feeding lots of different types of animals! We learnt about how cows are milked and took a ride in a tractor’s trailer. The weather was wonderful and overall we had a super day. Thank you to the parents who helped us on the trip – we couldn’t have done it without you. Watch the slideshow of photos below to see some highlights of the day!

Nursery Showstopper 17th March

We have been learning all about dinosaurs this half term in the Nursery. It would seem that Alex, Arthur and Brody know everything there is to know about dinosaurs and have taught me lots! Alongside learning about ‘sorting’ in maths, the boys were able to sort lots of toy dinosaurs into two different groups: dinosaurs who walk on two legs, and dinosaurs who walk on four legs! Well done boys!

#ScienceSelfie Competition Update

We are so pleased with the response to our #ScienceSelfie competition. We have had over 100 entries, ranging from Nursery to Year 6 and it has been so hard to pick the winners for each phase. The winners will be announced in our Science assembly on Monday, where all the classes will be showcasing their work from Science Week.

Keep your eyes peeled in the school hall and the corridor for the Science displays that will be appearing over the next couple of weeks, that show what an amazing time we have had!

Thanks for all your support – Miss Beale

EYFS fun at Stockley Farm

Reception and Nursery enjoyed a fabulous day out at Stockley Farm where they learnt about animals and their young.  The children helped to feed and pet a range of animals. They especially liked the cheeky kid goats and a large curious pig called ‘Gladys’.  The children asked and answered lots of questions and finally took a ride on the tractor.  All the staff at Stockley farm commented on the fantastic behaviour of our children and were especially impressed by their keen interest in learning about the animals on the farm.  May we kindly thank all our wonderful helpers who joined us on the trip and listening to our endless rendition of ‘Old McDonald had a farm!’ during our tractor ride.  Here are a few of our highlights.
