Safer Internet Day 2019 – Our internet, our choice

This week all our children took part in assemblies which looked at the importance of giving and obtaining consent or permission when using the internet.

We discussed examples and decided on the best advice on how to act responsibly online.

  1. If something makes you worried, uncomfortable or upset it’s always okay to say no.
  2. If you’re sure you’re happy and that others are happy with what will happen next then it’s okay to say yes if you have checked with adults.
  3. If what you’re doing online might affect somebody else, always ask their permission first.
  4. If you’re unsure or need further support then speak to an adult for help and advice.
